R Woods 26/09/2006 August 2006 A fact sheet on botulism in waterbirds is available at: http://www.naturebase.net/plants_animals/living_with_wildlife/index.html. It also contains information on triggers for waterbird disease investigation.
R Woods 05/12/2005 Geoff Hogg (Microbiology & Immunology Department, The University of Melbourne) would like to know who currently has tests up and running for "Bird" botulism in Australia (which tests are used and methodology). (He is interested in Type C, but if anyone is running Type E he probably needs to know this as well. Mod. R Woods). Please reply direct to Geoff (E: g.hogg@mdu.unimelb.edu.au) and cc rwoods@zoo.nsw.gov.au.
